WHy is SImpleUX free?
We offer unlimited moderated UX testing - screen, gesture, audio and face capture, with your own testers - at zero cost for a single-user license.
Two things make this possible.
First, your test recordings are saved locally on your device, not on our servers - so the more you use SimpleUX, the more storage and bandwidth cost falls on your device, not ours. We're not paying a growing cloud bill for your usage, which is most of what makes usage-based pricing exist elsewhere.
Second, we use SimpleUX ourselves. As the people behind 'White Hat UX' and 'The Ethical Design Handbook', testing tools and workshops are already part of what we do - SimpleUX is the practical extension of that work, not a separate business we need to make profitable on its own.

Free single-user license

SimpleUX is free forever under a single-user licence, subject to fair use. That means one licence covers one person, testing their own projects - a freelancer, a student, one member of a small team.
It's not a shared login passed around a studio, not a way to run dozens of parallel seats off one account, and not for automated or bulk use. That's the fair use policy in plain terms: real, individual moderated testing, unlimited, for as long as you use it.
Need it for a whole team?
